We believe that our staff are our greatest asset. We aim to employ staff who share our high standards and expectations and then to look after and invest in them to ensure they reach their own potential.

To achieve these aims we offer enhanced salaries to teaching and support staff, the option of 3 days "personal time" leave during term time and more generous sick pay arrangements than most other schools. 


Spiral Partnership Trust promotes a culture of high standards, high expectations and high rewards. This is reflected in enhanced salaries for all staff; Our payscale for teachers is enhanced at all levels, as a result most teachers earn around 5-6.5% more than teachers in other schools - for an NQT that's around £1,400 more than other starting salaries


Typically our support staff earn  more than staff in similar roles at other schools because they are paid for more weeks of the year not just for term time. 


Spiral Board of Directors believes all staff should earn an 'adequate' income that is sufficient to live on, to maintain a socially acceptable quality of life without the need for additional state benefits, we therefore are make a commitment to being a “living wage employer”, ensuring the lowest paid staff earn sufficient income to maintain an acceptable standard of living in the local context.
