Details of current vacancies can be found in this section. We have a number of vacancies for Teachers, admin and support roles throughout our schools.

Training to be a Teacher with Spiral

We are now recruiting our 2021 cohort of trainees who will begin training in September 2021, qualify as teachers in June 2022 and be ready to teach their first class in  September 2022.  If you are interested in training to be a teacher find out more on our training and apprenticeship page.

 

We are particularly keen to recruit new teaching assistants who would like to train to be teachers at some time in the future.  If you have a degree, and would like to be a teacher, a teaching assistant job could be the first step towards your new career.

1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Fleetville Infant and Nursery School

 

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant in to support a child with additional needs for 30 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8.45am-3.15pm).

 

Our ideal candidates should be nurturing, ambitious and passionate about inspiring and supporting children to develop and learn. They must be able to use their own initiative, able to follow advice from professionals and have a good knowledge and understanding of behaviour management.

 

You will be part of a supportive, inspiring teaching team working with lively and enthusiastic children. We are keen to find a new member of staff who is as committed and ambitious as we are. 

 

The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the child’s learning across the curriculum as well as taking an active role within the school community.

You will work term time (38 weeks) plus five inset days and a minimum of two days to be worked during school holidays. This will be a fixed term contract as it is linked to funding while the child attends Fleetville Infant School.

Classroom Teaching Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant in Reception working 33.75 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8.30am-3.45pm )

Midday Supervisory Assistants (Play Leaders)

Admin Officer

Chaulden Junior School

 

Chaulden Junior School has a vacancy for a friendly, well-organised and efficient people person to fill the role of Admin Officer, joining our busy admin team as our first point of contact for the school. No two days are ever the same; but you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional individual, with the ability to provide a warm, friendly and efficient welcome to visitors and a high standard of administrative support to our school team. Successful applicants will possess excellent communication and ICT skills, with the ability to approach tasks with enthusiasm, energy, initiative and commitment. The position is 37 hours per week, term time (39 weeks including INSET days) + a minimum of two days to be worked during the holidays. The hours are 8.30 am to 4.30 pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break. There will be an earlier finish on one day. For the right candidate, there may be some flexibility with hours. Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed. Previous experience of working in a school is not essential for this role, but would be an advantage.

After School Club Playworker

Spiral Faces at Fleetville Junior School 

 

Working at one of our busy out of school clubs, the role of Play Leader would be organising and working with primary aged children years 5 and 6 with afterschool activities such as games, craft, sports etc. A light tea is also served and so some simple food preparation is required. The hours are Mon to Fri from 3pm to 6.15. We welcome applicants that can do all 5 days or single days, if preferred. We are open to applications from qualified applicants NVQ Level 3 and above. An interest and aptitude for working with young children is required.

 

This role is for 16.25 hours per week from 3.00pm to 6.15pm

Inclusion Teaching Assistant Early Years

Mount Pleasant Lane Primary School 

 

Are you passionate about supporting young children to learn through play? Do you love singing, dancing and reading stories? We are looking for a calm, enthusiastic and resilient person to support a pupil in our Early Years Unit, 5 days per week from 8:45am to 3:15pm, term time (Spiral 40 weeks) - 30 hours per week.   This is a temporary contract linked to a child and the contract will terminate when the child leaves the school or funding ceases, whichever is the sooner.
