Details of current vacancies can be found in this section. We have a number of vacancies for Teachers, admin and support roles throughout our schools.

Training to be a Teacher with Spiral

We are now recruiting our 2020 cohort of trainees who will begin training in September 2020, qualify as teachers in June 2021 and be ready to teach their first class in  September 2021.  If you are interested in training to be a teacher find out more on our training and apprenticeship page.

 

We are particularly keen to recruit new teaching assistants who would like to train to be teachers at some time in the future.  If you have a degree, and would like to be a teacher, a teaching assistant job could be the first step towards your new career.

Inclusion Teaching Assistant

Mount Pleasant Lane Primary School

Are you passionate about supporting children?  We are looking for a calm, enthusiastic and resilient person to support a pupil at our school on Monday to Wednesday from 8:45am to 3:05pm (including a half hour unpaid lunch break), term time (Spiral 40 weeks).  This is a temporary contract linked to a child and the contract will terminate when the child leaves the school or funding ceases, whichever is the sooner. 

 

You will be welcomed into an excellent team of caring, professional people and would be given all necessary guidance and support.  You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/grade C or above).

Caretaker

1:1 Sen Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our successful team, to work on a 1:1 basis supporting two children with special educational needs.  The candidate should use their specialist curricular knowledge and experience to support their learning whilst ensuring that they get the best start to their education possible. This post is temporary and is linked to two specific children whilst they attend the school.  We are looking for a candidate who has a positive attitude and a passion for working with children along with the ability to work successfully as part of a team.

 

As part of our innovative approach we offer generous new terms and conditions of employment to our support staff. This includes a 45.6 week paid contract, flexible leave options and excellent CPD opportunities. After School Club Manager

Spiral Faces - Fleetville Schools

 

Fleetville Junior & Fleetville Infant & Nursery School are part of the Spiral Partnership Trust and each school has Breakfast and After School Provision as well as Holiday Clubs.  An opportunity has arisen for the position of Manager across the out of school care clubs at both Schools (FACES).

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and experienced Manager to lead this provision. Good communication and organisational skills are essential, as this post is primarily administrative, although some participation in working with the children in setting will be necessary. The Manager of the clubs will ensure a safe and stimulating environment for all children.

Business Support Apprentice - Level 3 Advanced

 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Apprentice to become a key part of our friendly Central Office Function of a Multi-academy Trust of six primary schools in Hertfordshire. You will be reporting to the CFO and will be working closely with our current Apprentice and Human Resources Manager to run key aspects within both the Finance and Human Resources function. The role will provide a wide range of learning opportunities across a number of Financial, Business and HR disciplines allowing the role holder to gain a wealth of transferrable skills and experience.

 

Job Description

 

The role holder will work with the Finance and HR team (including another apprentice) in the following areas:

•Learning to use a finance system (Sage) to record transactions and building up to running your own accounts ledger (i.e. doing bank recs, preparing month end etc.)

•Assisting with day to day queries from the school finance teams to help resolves their problems.

•Provide administrative support to the Trust’s Executive Heads to include helping with setting up meetings, taking phone calls, agendas, minutes and action logs.

•To provide relief support and assistance for the Trust’s schools’ administrative and finance functions on an ad hoc or emergency basis as required.

•Working with the Trusts’ HR manager to support and deliver the roll out of Access (HR system). This will involve answering day to day queries, providing advice for users, writing and designing system manuals and generating reports.

•Helping with the recruitment and data control for our teacher training programme within the Trust.

•Helping the HR manager with recruitment using social media channels, recruitment websites, Facebook and Twitter.

 

The position will mainly be based at both Fleetville Junior School and Mandeville Primary School, St Albans but occasionally the candidate may be required to work at other schools within the Trust.
