Details of current vacancies can be found in this section. We have a number of vacancies for Teachers, admin and support roles throughout our schools.

Training to be a Teacher with Spiral

We are now recruiting our 2020 cohort of trainees who will begin training in September 2020, qualify as teachers in June 2021 and be ready to teach their first class in  September 2021.  If you are interested in training to be a teacher find out more on our training and apprenticeship page.

 

We are particularly keen to recruit new teaching assistants who would like to train to be teachers at some time in the future.  If you have a degree, and would like to be a teacher, a teaching assistant job could be the first step towards your new career.

Site Manager

Chaulden Junior School

 

We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated, flexible and friendly site manager who will take pride in our school, ensuring that it is a well maintained, clean, safe and secure environment to learn and work in.

 

The Site Manager will be the main keyholder and emergency contact, responsible for site security, opening and closing the school and locking up after lettings.  Core working hours will be 7.00am until 3.30 pm, with a 1 ½ hour break and the post holder will need to be able to adapt their working hours to meet the needs of the school and to support school functions and lettings.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning (and cleaning staff) and general maintenance of the site. The post holder will carry out appropriate health and safety checks and maintain records of these. They will be expected to liaise effectively with contractors and be willing to attend appropriate training courses.  Good practical skills are required to carry out general maintenance tasks and initiative to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively with limited supervision.

 

All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check.

 

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a supportive and cooperative team and will understand the need for confidentiality when working in a school.

 

Salary £17,866 - £18,695
