Training to be a Teacher with Spiral
We are now recruiting our 2019 cohort of trainees who will begin training in September 2018, qualify as teachers in June 2020 and be ready to teach their first class in September 2020. If you are interested in training to be a teacher find out more on our training and apprenticeship page.
We are particularly keen to recruit new teaching assistants who would like to train to be teachers at some time in the future. If you have a degree, and would like to be a teacher, a teaching assistant job could be the first step towards your new career.

School Secretary - Part time
Mandeville Primary School has a vacancy for a friendly, well-organised and efficient part-time secretary to join our busy admin team. No two days are ever the same; problems range from small to large but you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional individual, with the ability to provide an efficient and friendly welcome to visitors and a high standard of administrative support to our current office team. You will work closely with the Secretary covering the mornings and undertake a comprehensive hand over every day. Successful applicants will possess excellent communication and ICT skills, with the ability to approach tasks with enthusiasm, energy and commitment.
The position is 23.5 hours per week, term time (38 weeks) + 5 inset (staff training) days + a minimum of two days to be worked during the holidays. The hours are 12.30 to 5.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 12.30 to 5.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure you read the job description for further details.

CLASS TEACHER (Full time maternity cover)
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, creative and enthusiastic teacher to cover a maternity leave in a Reception Class from January 2019 full time for the duration of the maternity leave. The successful candidate must be committed to raising standards and creating a positive and exciting learning environment. In return we can offer a friendly and supportive team, with strong partnerships with parents and the chance to develop their leadership and management skills.
