Details of current vacancies can be found in this section. We have a number of vacancies for Teachers, admin and support roles throughout our schools.

Training to be a Teacher with Spiral

We are now recruiting our 2019 cohort of trainees who will begin training in September 2018, qualify as teachers in June 2020 and be ready to teach their first class in  September 2020.  If you are interested in training to be a teacher find out more on our training and apprenticeship page.

 

We are particularly keen to recruit new teaching assistants who would like to train to be teachers at some time in the future.  If you have a degree, and would like to be a teacher, a teaching assistant job could be the first step towards your new career.

Midday Supervisory Assistants (Play Leaders)

Teaching Assistant

Mount Pleasant Lane is a popular and successful 1.5fe school situated close to the M1 between Watford and St Albans.  Our children are motivated, happy to come to school and full of ideas about how they want their school to be. 

We are looking to appoint a motivated, friendly and enthusiastic classroom based Teaching Assistant to work for 5 mornings a week and then to help all of our children at lunchtime in both the dining room and playground. 

 

You would be an integral and valued member of our teaching team and would be supported by our friendly and experienced staff as well as being offered excellent CPD opportunities.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Mount Pleasant Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive, kind and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover classes during PPA and management time and also to support our children over the lunchtime period. 

This post for an HLTA is for for three days a week from 8:30am to 3:15pm with an unpaid half hour lunch break.  For those candidates seeking full time work, we would welcome combining this post with our other vacancy for an Inclusion Teaching Assistant, working with a named child for two days a week.  Please see our other vacancies for further details.

Inclusion Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children?  We are looking for a calm, enthusiastic and resilient person to support a pupil at our school on a Monday and Friday from 8:30am to 3:15pm (including a half hour unpaid lunch break), term time only.  This is a temporary contract linked to a child and the contract will terminate when the child leaves the school or funding ceases, whichever is the sooner.
